Budget decisions by Governor Snyder and the Michigan legislature have radically reduced funding for staff in the Prisoner Reentry Initiative. Since a huge part of the success of the program depends on providing supportive housing for the newly released, the decisions seem short sighted. The contribution RAAH is making to Washtenaw Prisoner Reentry is only one of that organization's sources. The reduction in state support will affect WPR drastically.
